Michigan CNA State Exam is the gateway to a career as a certified nurse aide anywhere in the United States and not just in Michigan. You need to complete and pass the certified nursing aide state exam before that. This is important as this makes you eligible for CNA certification and license and only after this, your work will be considered as legal.

Michigan is a State that has witnessed a surge in its health care service industry of late. There have been many new medical care facilities and research centers come up. The training program imparts the students with knowledge on various health care aspects like, hygiene, personal care, nutrition, infection control, therapeutic procedures, patient/client rights and also patient communication. After the successful completion of the training program, the candidate has to appear for the Michigan CNA State Exam which again comprises a written and a practical part. The written test is usually a set of 100 multiple choice questions that need to be answered within a given time frame. As soon as you are done with the written test, you are evaluated and if you score enough you are allowed to the next level which is the practical test. Under the practical test you are assigned 5 skills tasks by the state examiners which have to be performed on a live model under the watchful eyes of the state examiners.

You may get nervous at the prospect of having to perform before the state examiners but rather make the most of it and prove your talent and abilities that you can be a responsible certified nursing assistant. You need to be careful though and make sure that you finish all the 5 skill tasks correctly so as to pass the practical test.

If you clear both the written as well as practical part then only you are declared as having passed the certified nurse assistant state exam. However, if you fail the test, you can still appear it for a maximum of 3 times. If you still don't make it, you will have to retake the entire training program and then sit for the test.

However, if you have followed the classroom and practical sessions carefully, you should be able to find your answers as the questions are based on whatever that has been taught during the training period. You can also take to CNA practice test that will help you get familiarized with the pattern of the test and also brush up on your speed so that you are able to answer maximum number of questions. Once, you have passed the Michigan CNA State Exam, you are certified and registered on the Michigan Nurse Aide Registry and you are now ready to take up job with any health care service agency not only in Michigan but across United States without getting into any legal trouble even if you don't belong to that particular state.

A certified nursing assistant is sensitive, polite and has good communication skills that helps him manage the rush of patients from across Michigan and beyond. He is well equipped to handle pressure situations, understands patients' frustrations and offers appropriate assistance while maintaining his composure all through.

A certified nursing assistant usually works in a team of doctors and registered nurse and carries out the duties as assigned by the concerned doctor.
