In the practical test you are required to perform tasks on 5 personal care skills assigned by the state examiner. You have to perform them on a live model within the specified time, under the watchful eyes of the state examiner. Passing the test shouldn't be very tough on you if you follow the classroom and practical learning intently because the questions are based on whatever that has been taught during the training program. You can also refer to the handouts and notebooks. For better preparation you can take the practice test that is similar to the actual test and would help you prepare mentally also. These revisions would help you enhance your belief in yourself and also lessen your anxiety levels.

Once you clear both the written and practical test, you are declared to have passed the CNA State Exam and you are subsequently registered and listed on the North Carolina Nurse Aide Registry. However, if you fail the exam you can attempt it for a maximum of 3 times and if you still fail to clear it, you will have to undergo the entire training program all over again and then take the test.
