In the practical test the state examiner would assign you 5 skills out of the 25 that you have learned during the training. You have to perform these tasks within a time of 30 minutes on a live model as you are observed by the examiners who will then be evaluating and rating you.

If you manage to get passing grades in both the sections you become eligible for the CNA certification. If you have followed the classroom and the practical sessions carefully you should be able to attend to maximum questions as they are based on all that has been taught to you during the training. You may also refer to the handouts and notebooks besides the practice tests that help you brush up on your skill and boosts your confidence before you go for the real test.

If you get passing marks in both the parts you pass the final assessment test and it gets you listed and registered on the West Virginia Nurse Aide Registry. However, if you fail the test you can attempt it a maximum of 3 times before retaking the entire training program and then sit for the competency test.
